In 1997 the Trust initiated its scholarship program, earmarking funds for an annual award to Bromfield seniors who plan to attend college full-time during the following school year. Each year the Trust asks the Bromfield guidance staff to identify one or two students who have made significant contributions to life at Bromfield. Students exhibiting service, spirit, and personal growth, and students who will not be receiving multiple local financial awards are given greatest consideration. The scholarship is presented at Bromfield's senior awards ceremony just prior to graduation.
In 2021 the Trust established the Ambassador Simon Henshaw Award in memory of Simon Henshaw. This award will be given annually to a senior who exemplifies good citizenship. Henshaw, a member of the Bromfield Class of 1978, had a 36-year career with the State Department, serving as Ambassador to the Republic of Guinea in West Africa at the time of his death. Recipients of this award are listed below with an asterisk.
